In the summer months (December – March) our lakeside Holiday Park and Backpackers offers easy access to the great boating and water-based activities that make Lake Tekapo a favourite destination. Activities such as water-skiing, jet boating, wake boarding, swimming and fishing have kept our regulars coming back to our holiday park for years.
The large open spaces in the Mackenzie Basin offer many possibilities for mountain biking, horse trekking, golfing, hunting, trekking, day trips and gentle walks.
In winter (June – August) the Roundhill Ski Field provides a great family ski area just a 40 minute drive from our holiday park following the shores of the lake. We also have a ice skating rink and snow tubing right next door and for the ultimate in relaxation, Tekapo Springs have hot pools and pampering. So well worth a visit.
Below is a list of just some of the activities available in the Lake Tekapo area.
